As a Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC), you will be a key clinical leader within a medium-sized residential aged care facility, providing expert oversight while remaining actively involved in clinical care.
Working closely with the Residential Manager, you will balance hands-on nursing with team mentorship, governance and quality improvement. This is an ideal opportunity for a confident clinician who enjoys being present, accessible and influential within a close-knit team environment. We are also open to an experienced Clinical Nurse (CN) in aged care who is ready to step up into a senior clinical leadership role, with the right support and mentoring provided.
You are a compassionate and confident clinical leader who thrives in aged care and enjoys mentoring others. You bring strong decision-making skills and a commitment to delivering holistic, person-centred care that supports residents’ physical, emotional, social and spiritual wellbeing.
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
Minimum 4 years’ experience in Aged Care
Strong knowledge of AN-ACC and palliative care
Demonstrated understanding of Aged Care Accreditation and audit processes
Proven ability in problem resolution and quality-focused service delivery
Provide expert clinical leadership and hands-on nursing care
Support residents with complex and changing clinical needs
Supervise, mentor and develop Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing
Coordinate, review and evaluate care plans and clinical documentation
Liaise with GPs, allied health professionals, residents and families
Ensure compliance with aged care standards, accreditation, infection control and medication management
Lead continuous improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives
